Immortalize yourself on MonoExpression.com

As a lot of you are aware, I enjoy providing platforms for other designs to exhibit, display aspects of work or even just a personal profile post. WeAreJustCreative was started for this reason, to focus on ‘you’ rather than the ‘me’.

Since the new site design came about, I started doing the weekly Nice Person Feature, which is just a cropped letterbox shape black and white portrait photo and a small bio. I have received a steady flow of photos, too many to be able to feature all on a weekly basis. So also look out for YourJustCreative.com.

So, @charise on Twitter gave me another idea.

I want to create a stunning collection of black and white portrait photos of everyone that I interact with online and offline. I have a lovely black and white WordPress being remixed as we speak that will be transplanted to the new domain for this site www.monoexpression.com (nothing there yet, having yet more problems with the domain name and the Nameservers).

What I would also like to do, is to create a post/gallery of all the portraits I have so far. It’s one thing to be known on Twitter by your user name, or by your website header, or maybe a small About Me photo. But these landscape photos, the ones I have so far, are looking awesome and are hugely atmospheric and really give off a totally different vibe to usual About Me images etc.

The idea is that you submit your photo along with a few words, some contact details and that’s it. A unique post will be created for each entry, with the photo as the feature highlight. Which will then form a growing gallery of black and white designer portrait photos. Nothing more, nothing less.

Just because you may not have this size of image (similar to the above image) to hand it does not matter. Send me any good portrait head shot you have, and i should be able to make it into the size I need, even if it means creating a false black OR white background, whatever suits the image more.

So even if you have a regular 6×4, if its a nice head shot (not really a snap or passport photo, something with a little atmosphere to it) then do send it along. I can make it Black and White also if you don’t know how to do that.

…for a feel about what I am talking about and also look at the home page for further examples.

And by doing so you are also making yourself available to be a Featured Nice Person for a week at some point. Yay.

You can email me the photos etc.
