The Yahoo Pipes Bleedster Feed - Bleeding Ultimate Feeds

Sounds gruesome, and it is. It has attitude. It has presence. It is feeding from all of you. It bleeds and merges out of one and into another.
The Bleeding Ultimate FeedBurner Feed
A short while ago I had a not so original idea to combine a number of FeedBurner feed’s into one feed. Nothing new or totally original as there are web app’s that do that sort of thing already. Knowtebook, also have a Yahoo Pipes feed. And it was receiving these feeds every day that made me think we could create something similar for ‘us’ creative types.
I took a quick look at the Pipes infrastructure and although it looks so cool, I felt it would probably take me a little while to figure it out. Along with all the other little projects that also take a ‘little while’, the ‘little whiles’ don’t become so little and the ‘whiles’, well, that’s another time.
So who did the hard technical work Graham?
Ha, well yes. Not me. So in comes Rogie King from Komodo Media. After a chat on Yahoo, we both realised we like Yahoo pipes, and Rogie had also come up with an idea to do something similar, but not involving Feedburner. Being the ultimate Ninja Master of web craftsmanship that he is, Rogie seemed well happy to actually do this for me. Can’t say I had to think about the offer. And I really didn’t have to encourage Rogie either.
So that was that. A few days later, a few tests and this potential lively feed was ready to hit the unsuspecting creative public.
So to clarify. Rogie did all the technical work. I just came up with the name. :)
So come one boys, what does it do?
- it pulls a list of hot designer feeds from WAJC
- and merges all their content
- then rearranges them by published date
- sorts by published date
- Finally you have this ‘bleeding bleedster’ of a mega (or uber) feed of designer related content
Wanna participate?
It’s kinda new territory this. The idea is that you ask nicely, give us your existing FeedBurner RSS Feed, we then ‘bleed’ it into the WAJC Yahoo Pipe. You then subscribe to this new ‘Bleedster Feed’ at one of the various Bleeding Stations that will look like the badge below, and from then on, you will receive a email every day of not just your post updates, but those of everyone else on the bleeding pay role.
It really is that easy. So sign up below to receive this new RSS Feedburner feed.
Anyone can subscribe to ‘The WAJC Yahoo Pipes Bleeding Bleedster Feed‘, so it’s a great way to spread new posts in one easy to take feed.
If you like the idea?
Then leave comment below, with some details, obviously your existing FeedBurner feed address and we will add them one by one initially to see how robust this Yahoo Pipes is. Pretty much first come first feed type of thing.
And…
Going to do some small mini badges, that can be put on other websites, so that they are easy for others to sign up to. The more people that sign up to this bleeding feed, the more exposure you get for your posts.
