The music is my husband’s solo project, for which he got a lot of friends to play/sing. This project started when I gave him my acoustic guitar that I’ve got as a Christmas present 17 years ago. He really liked the tone of that guitar, and started writing song after song, and then decided to make an album that would have a different vibe to it than the music he played before (punk, noise rock).
When making this video, we aimed to portray the feelings that the song creates, therefore we decided for simple but captivating images. So during our trip to the Grand Canyon I filmed this short movie, which turned out to be perfect for this song.
In case you like the music, you can listen to other songs by Language of Termites on their Virb page http://languageoftermites.com [Raining Fireworks is my personal favourite :) The project is not finished yet, he’s still mixing it, but I think it sounds awesome already! :)
So there goes my first video project. Yay!

That’s really cool Anca - was it a very long road or edited; nice choice of music as well.

Very cool, Anca. I love the dreamy feel to it (especially with the music). Who does that background music? It fit really well with the sequence.
Cheers!
Oh and on a note about WeAreJustCreative, kudos to you, Graham! I’m really excited about this network and what’s going to come out of it! Nice on ya!

Looks strangely like the Black Hills in SD. Love the music. It reminds me of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

@Martin - yes, it is a very long road, but the video was 30 sec. shorter than the song. therefore it’s edited a bit, but can’t really tell, can you? =) And, the video was made to fit the music, not viceversa. Really glad you like it!
@Toby happy you like the music! the Grand Canyon has incredible scenery, even when you drive on the road. I liked it a lot!

Awesome. I love the music AND the visuals. SO many people try to do WAY too much with music vids. A video I just saw, which had SOOO much potential, ended up looking like a strobe the whole time because the creator didn’t know how to fit everything in a 4 minute music vid and just kept switching between shot after shot WAY too fast.
This, though, is a wonderful combo. It’s as if you let it speak rather than trying to force it to say the things you wanted it too. Very cool.

Thank you, Alex! That was exactly our goal…let the music play and have simple visuals. So sick of overwhelming visuals!
Really glad you like how it turned out. :)
